2012 – This one’s on us Contest

For the past 2 years we have run a contest where we gave away a portrait session. This year will be no different as we love getting out and meeting people. In the past we have asked for likes or other things from you in order to enter. We have decided not to ask for things like that this time around.

This time we want you to send us your ideas for a creative portrait session and throughout the year as our calendar allows we will be contacting a select few to set up sessions. So whether you have the best location, most outrageous props, funkiest wardrobe we want to hear it all.

If you are a couple, a high school senior, actor, musician, pregnant, want to trash your dress , etc. we want to hear from you. The beauty is there is no idea that isn’t worth sending our way; so just do it!

Plain and simple just send us your ideas for a portrait session. We will select entrants throughout the year for a free session. Ideas must be submitted by February 15^th 2012 so on your mark, get set and write! Send your ideas by email to info@brawns.ca.

Theresa and I will read the entries and will make a decision together. Some limitations may apply, such as availability & location, but don’t let that discourage you from writing us.

Megan and Adrian won our last spring contest and after a few reschedules we managed to find time to get together. I’m very happy that things turned out like they did as we got some awesome weather! Megan is too cute and I still can’t get over her infectious smile! I thought I was calm, that was until I met Adrian. These two are sweet together and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them.

Crystal – Trash the Dress

A little while back we put out a trash the dress casting call. Crystal responded and was willing to do crazy things with her dress that most people wouldn’t dream of. While we didn’t take the shoot too far, we still had a blast. We wanted to showcase a wide variety of shots and tell a story. I found it very difficult to limit the amount of images for this post and I managed to get it down to 33ish, but that was the minimum I was able to do! Funny story, Crystal actually attended our wedding years ago as a friends date, it’s a small world. The only real negative about the shoot was losing my iPhone to the rising water in the estuary. I dedicate this post to my fallen iPhone, Crystal for being a trooper and thanks to ~~Adam~~ Neil for carrying bags
