Liana and Gavin – Married https://brawns.ca/blog/2011/10/03/liana-and-gavin Mon, 03 Oct 2011 13:36:43 +0000 http://brawns.ca/blog/?p=1257 When I first met with Liana and Gavin and they started to tell me about their wedding, I quietly got quite excited. The location and the details were sure not to disappoint. Theresa and I have lived in Nanaimo for a long time but had never made it over to Gabriola Island, this was our chance to get over there. The buy silagra online Lodge Gabriola Island” href=”http://www.dragonslodge.ca/” target=”_blank”>Dragons Lodge is an absolutely gorgeous location and the rest of the island lends itself to a great photographic locations. Liana and Gavin, we wish you many years of happiness and we thank you for letting us be a part of your day. Without spoiling too much more, we will let the photos do the talking.

Matt and Kim – Married https://brawns.ca/blog/2010/09/27/matt-and-kim-married Tue, 28 Sep 2010 04:08:31 +0000 http://brawns.ca/blog/?p=637 When Kim first contacted me, she explained that she was wanting something a little different for her big day. Instead of having a huge traditional wedding, she wanted something a little smaller and intimate out on the beach in Tofino.  I suspect no one person would say this was a bad idea, except for one detail; she wanted to do it mid-September.  For anyone not familiar with Tofino, weather on the west coast can be quite unpredictable even in the middle of the summer. When I inquired about her “Plan B”, she replied with “rain or shine, we are getting married on the beach”. Awesome! All I can say is that she lucked out. About 10 minutes gastrointestinal from Pacific Sands Resort as we drove in, the rain stopped. As we left, about 5 minutes from the resort, the rain started again, she was that lucky. I think deep down Kim is a risk taker and as a result we managed to create some fantastic images.  Anther thing that Kim decided to do was a “first look”. This is where the bride and groom see each other prior to the ceremony. While not for everyone, it allows couples to shed the nerves and when combined with the photography it allows us to make love-filled images.

Matt and Kim, we had a great time with you on your big day. Thank you for including us in your big day and we hope you all the best in the future.

Sorry for the huge list of pictures, too many favorites to choose from! The entire set is here: http://prints.brawns.ca/Johnson
