Landscape work https://brawns.ca/personal/landscape-work/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=landscape-work https://brawns.ca/personal/landscape-work/#respond Sat, 10 Mar 2012 18:35:03 +0000 http://brawns.ca/personal/?p=892 It’s been a long time goal of mine to produce fine-art status worthy landscape works. The problem is that landscape photography is much more challenging than I’ve ever expected. As I continue to grow and learn as an artist, I’m able to take what I know about portraiture photography and apply it to landscape. While at first glance it might not seem directly related, at the end of the day we are just trying to capture the interesting things that light is capable of. Here are two frames from a recent sunset walk at our favorite park in Nanaimo, Neck Point.

Nicole https://brawns.ca/personal/nicole/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=nicole https://brawns.ca/personal/nicole/#respond Fri, 02 Mar 2012 11:30:01 +0000 http://brawns.ca/personal/?p=884 I’ve started a personal project. While I can’t really tell you what it is yet, I can tell you that Nicole is involved. After we were done with the project images, we went for a walk at my favorite park in town. I decided to play a bit with this set in my processing. Sometimes photographers struggle to find their processing groove and keeping things consistent. I’m no different and struggle with this every shoot. I do however feel that I’m becoming more consistent with my light, camera and processing, I do feel the draw to try new things. Feel free to tell me what you think of this set in the comments, all comments are welcome.  😀

Neck Point Storm https://brawns.ca/personal/neck-point-storm/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=neck-point-storm https://brawns.ca/personal/neck-point-storm/#respond Sun, 26 Feb 2012 23:52:30 +0000 http://brawns.ca/personal/?p=876 Yesterday was really windy at Neck Point. Ben really didn’t like the cold wind on his ears, but I managed to get this shot. There were also around 20 sea lions floating around (didn’t manage to get a shot of that).
